FPP3 MASKS are used in front of aerosols with high toxicity. They have a minimum filtration efficiency of 98% and a maximum inward leakage of 2%. CERTIFIED MASKS FPP3
Our FFP3 masks comply with the European standards EN 149:2001+A1:2009 and are CE marked. They are not reusable. However, they can still be worn as long as they are not “saturated”. How long they are saturated depends on the amount of particles in the air. You can consider the mask saturated when you feel the breathing resistance increase. Otherwise, the maximum operating time is 8 hours. The foldable FFP3 masks are equipped with a nose clip and adapt to the morphology of all faces, ensuring a perfect seal. However, it is important that they are put on correctly. It %.at least %.aerosols and has a maximum inward leakage rate of 2% %. This is the highest level of protection, offering the wearer optimum protection against aerosols of all kinds as well as against viruses and bacteria. FFP2 and FPP3 masks, on the other hand, have a filtration performance for the smallest particles (including those containing the virus) of 92% for FPP2 and 98% for FFP3. Valves discharge the wearer’s exhaled air, but do not filter it. Their use is therefore not recommended, especially if the wearer has symptoms or believes that he is contaminated. One of the characteristics of FFP3 masks is that they can be uncomfortable to breathe for prolonged periods of time due to the high level of filtration and layering of materials used to make them. These masks also have a limited duty cycle. They are manufactured in such a way that they guarantee protection for about 6 hours. After this time, the filter effect is no longer guaranteed, so that the masks must be disposed of.
FPP3 IS MORE EFFICIENT
By fitting a mask that is perfect for the situation, you will be better protected. While an FFP2 mask protects you up to 10 times the average exposure level for solid particles, your FFP3 mask is five times more effective and protects you up to 50 times the TWA level. It is very effective against very fine particles (such as lead, asbestos, ceramic fibres or concrete). It is highly recommended to use this type of protection if you work in contact with asbestos or bacteria, such as Legionella. Unlike a disposable mask, your FFP3 mask can be used continuously for 8 hours and still be effective. Finally, we recommend that you choose a model with a valve to increase comfort. This allows you to breathe better during intensive use. These FFP3 masks are capable of filtering out PM0.05 nanoparticles and are equipped with a “stop valve” system that blocks and filters exhaled air to protect the person next to the mask wearer. A system that is undeniably necessary in this time of pandemic.
